Student Members

The Student Advisory Committee is elected by the high school student body. Student Advisory Committee members are ex-officio non-voting members of the School Committee

Emma Cummings is a freshman at Canton High School. As a CHS student, Emma is a Student Council Representative and helps to promote school spirit and school events in many different ways.

Prior to CHS, she attended both the Dean S. Luce School and the William H. Galvin Middle School. Emma loves being in leadership positions such as Student Council where she can listen and work with other students to make school a place everyone enjoys being in.

While a student at GMS, Emma was a member of the Student Leadership Council at the Galvin in both 7th and 8th grade and she worked to develop activities for students during the remote learning period and spirit day themes. She was a member of Bulldog Buddies to help prevent bullying.  Emma was selected to be on the interview committee to hire new teachers in the summer of 2020. Emma was also 1 of 2 students selected to give a speech at the 8th-grade promotion ceremony.

Outside of school, Emma loves to dance. She has been dancing for 12 years at Dance Workshop in Easton. She has been an assistant dance teacher for 5 years and helps run a camp for the dance studio during summers. Emma was also a Junior Counselor at Canton Academy for Survivor Camp for 2 years.
