We welcome and value your input!  While we may not always be able to directly address concerns that are outside of our jurisdiction, there is always room for the School Committee to keep your ideas and concerns top of mind as we work to make Canton even stronger in the short- and long-term!

Please note: Direct communication to the School Committee is not intended to replace or supplant procedures that are already established to address and resolve specific building or child-related issues. Parents/guardians and community members are reminded to first follow these established procedures (through the most appropriate teacher, building administrator, and/or subsequently the Superintendent or their designee), prior to escalating concerns.

Further, regardless of the means of communication (e.g., email, conversation, text), School Committee members are obligated both by policy (i.e Policy BBAA) and by contract (i.e. Superintendent’s Employment Contract) to refer questions, criticisms, suggestions and complaints to the Superintendent. The referral obligation applies even when the individual has asked that the matter be kept confidential.
