Staff One-Time At-Home COVID Distribution

Dear CPS Staff,

In collaboration with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Canton Public Schools will be taking part in a One-time At-Home COVID-19 Test Distribution.

This test distribution will supply participating staff and students with four tests (two boxes of two tests each) to take home and use at your discretion before returning to school following Thanksgiving and December breaks.

• Participation in the one-time test distribution is completely voluntary and is available for all staff regardless of vaccination status
• The test provided is iHealth, a 15-minute at-home FDA-approved rapid antigen test. Please note, these tests may have an expiration date of late January 2023 and should not be used as part of any other testing program
• Staff members are asked to report any positive results to nurses Lauren Pushard, 781-633-1685, or Irene Keefe, 781-989-0297. (Preschool staff call Bailey Hewit)
• Tests will be distributed ONLY to staff that have opted-in to this one-time program on Tuesday, November 22, 2022
  • At the elementary and pre-school levels, tests labeled with the student's name and teacher will be delivered to the classroom by nursing staff. Classroom teachers will also be given their tests at this time  
  • Specialists, GMS and CHS teachers, as well as other building staff will pick up tests directly from the school Health Offices
  • Tests for Rodman Administration Building staff will be delivered by Lauren Pushard and Irene Keefe

To opt-in to receive the at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen tests please fill out this Staff Opt-in Form by Monday, November 14. You may opt-out of this test distribution at any time.
