Senior Externship
What is the Senior Externship?
The Senior Externship enables qualified seniors to spend fourth term working on a career exploration project of their choice, with the support and collaboration of CHS staff. The externships are six weeks long and allow seniors the opportunity to learn in an environment not previously available to them.
Participating students complete their externship in a school or under the supervision of an organization and must spend approximately 30 hours per week on their project, with exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Who may participate?
Students who meet high standards of reliability and responsibility during senior year are accepted into the Externship program. Participation requires punctuality, good attendance, responsible citizenship, and satisfactory academic achievement.
A committee of teachers, counselors, and administrators approves applicants and their projects.
