Due to the reduction of state funding, the following transportation program will be offered for the school year 2011-2012.

1. All kindergarten students ride without a fee.

2. Students in grades 1-6, who live more than 2 miles from the school they attend, will be transported without a fee. (YELLOW FORM)

3. Students in grades 1-6, who have to cross or walk on Route 138 (safety), will be transported without a fee. (YELLOW FORM)

4. Students in grades 1-6, who live 1-2 miles from the school they attend, are eligible to apply for the Pay and Ride Program. (WHITE FORM)

5. Students in grades 7-12 are eligible to apply for the Pay and Ride Program.(WHITE FORM)

6. Students in grades 1-6, who live less than 1 mile from the school they attend, can apply for the Pay and Ride Program.  (GREEN  FORM)  Unfortunately, because of the reduction of state funding, we cannot guarantee ridership for all students who live less than a mile from school.  Eligibility will be determined on a space available basis and ridership will be determined via lottery.

In order for us to develop the most efficient and cost-effective routes possible during this period of spiraling costs, it is essential that we have an accurate account of who will be riding a bus this fall.  Please make sure that you return the information requested in this letter to your child’s current school no later than June 3rd.
