Congratulations!
You and a team of experts have been chosen to research the declining number
of frogs in the North America. In the past few years scientists have
found that many of our frog species are dying out. They are
becoming extinct. We need to find out why this is happening if we
ever plan to help our frog friends. If you have trouble with any
of the words on this page, please click on the dictionary at the top of
the page.
Task
Your
task is not an easy one! You and your team must research possible
causes of the declining number of North American frogs. You will
gather data and begin to form a hypothesis, an educated guess, as to why
this is happening. After you have gathered your data, you and your
team of experts will develop a plan to help save the frogs. What
can we do as a country to protect our frogs? We need your help to
save them. Your final report will be presented to a large group of
scientists at the annual Save The Frogs Conference. Click here

Process

2. Click on each role. There you will find your specific research task and topic.
3. After you finish your research, get back together with your group and share your findings. As a group, develop a hypothesis that explains the declining number of frogs in North America. Be sure to back it up with your research.
4. After you develop your hypothesis, you must work together to come up with a plan to solve the problem. The plan should demonstrate what we can do as a country to protect our frogs. It must also be backed up by research you have found.
5. You will then present your hypothesis and plan to a large group of scientists at the annual Save The Frogs Conference. You will want to find an interesting way to present your plan. You may want to make a slideshow or write a report. Remember, visuals always get people's attention.

Thank you for taking on this important task. There is no right or wrong answer to this mystery. Maybe now you will be more aware of how you can protect the frogs in your environment. For further information check out these other interesting frog sites.
