John Bonnanzio, Chair jbonnanzio@comcast.net
John was first elected to the Canton School Committee in 2002. He was re-elected in 2005 and served through 2008. After a two-year hiatus, he was re-elected in 2010. He has served as the committee’s chairman in 2007 and 2008, and was most recently named chairman in 2011.

Professionally, he has been the managing editor of Investment Decisions, a markets editor and Washington columnist for Cahners Publications, and editor of the Venture Capital Journal. For the past 20 years, John's been editor of several investment advisory publications, most recently as editorial director of Fidelity Insight. John did his undergraduate studies at Fordham University.

A native of New York City, John adopted Canton as his home 20 years ago. He is the past president of the Blue Hills Civic Association and has served on St. Gerard's Finance Council. His three youngest children attend the Canton Public Schools, while his eldest is a graduate of Canton High.

Reuki Schutt, a general practice attorney in Canton, is a graduate of Bradford College and The New England School of Law. A native of Massachusetts, she grew up in Carlisle and attended the public schools of that community. Reuki and her husband Roger moved to Canton in 1987 and they are now raising three daughters who all attend the Canton Public Schools! Reuki enjoys reading, traveling and being involved in volunteer activities such as the CAPT and the Blue Hills Civic Association.

Jill Stevens grew up in Providence, RI where she attended public schools. She is a graduate of Smith College and holds a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.  Having spent 7 years as a public high school social studies teacher in MA and NY, she currently works for the METCO program of the Sharon Public Schools. She, her husband Russell and their two daughters have lived in Canton since 2002. Both daughters attend the Canton Public Schools.  Jill has been active in the Canton Alliance for Public Education, and has chaired both its Honor Thy Teacher Campaign and its annual spelling bee.  She is also a certified yoga instructor. Jill’s hobbies include gardening, cooking, swimming and running.

Liz Salisbury grew up in Long Island, NY where she attended public schools.  She did undergraduate studies at Rollins College in Florida, and earned a master's degree and doctorate in Biological Psychology from SUNY Stony Brook. Liz and her husband, Dean, who also received his doctorate from Stony Brook where they met, moved to Canton in 1997. They have three children, all of whom attend the Canton Public Schools.  Liz is an Assistant Professor at UMass Medical School where she does research to enhance the healthy development of premature infants. Liz enjoys keeping busy with her family, work and the school committee, exercising, spending time with friends, and vacations.

Cindy Sareault Thomas grew up in Westwood. She and her husband Paul (Bud) have lived in Canton since 1980 and have three children. Her oldest, Mike, is a 2005 graduate of Canton High School and currently attends Rochester Institute of Technology. Chris is a student at Canton High School and Katie attends the Galvin Middle School. Cindy is employed by the University of Massachusetts Boston where she is the Director of Employment Services, Training and Technical Assistance for the Institute for Community Inclusion, focusing on employment of individuals with disabilities. A graduate of Boston College, she holds a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She has been active in the community as a Girl Scout leader and religious education teacher and through her work with the JFK CAPT and CAPE.
