The
Bulldog 25
In honor of the 25th anniversary season of CHS Boys Soccer,
we have announced the 25 players who have had the greatest impact
on the program over that quarter of a century.
The twenty-five players were selected by a group of CHS alumni and
coaching staff (many of whom are on the list so there could be a
conflict of interest!) They are NOT ranked in order.
The
List (no
particular order)
Chris Conway- 1986- The first All-Hockomock player from Canton,
Conway was a relentless defender and hard-worker on the very first
Bulldog team. He and his teammates laid the foundation to what has
since become one of the best programs in Eastern Mass.
Adam Castonguay- 2003- Castonguay had arguably, the best single
season of any CHS player ever. He excelled in both the goal and in the
field during the historic 2002 run to the Sectional Final. Scored 5
goals in his limited field minutes while he played perhaps the finest
single game any CHS keeper ever has down in Somerset. He also earned
EMASS All-Star honors.
Jeff Shea- 2005-Led
the team in scoring in 2004, netting 22 of the team's 27 goals.

defense during the Hock Championship Season of 1997. He was voted MVP
of the 1997 All-Star Game.
AJ MacDonald- 1999-
MacDonald was relentless
in the way he approached the game. He was a key contributor to first
Hock Championship. Currently ranks 11th in all-time scoring.
DJ Murray-2007-
Murray was the anchor of the midfield for the 13-2-5, Hockomock
Championship season of 2006. He is the only player in CHS Boys Soccer
History to be named Hock MVP and an All-New England Selection. He was
a two year captain.
Matt Aucoin- 2003-
Aucoin is one of the most talented players to ever don a CHS
soccer jersey. He led the powerful 2002 team in scoring and currently
sits 8th on the career scoring list (26 goals, 9 assists, 35 points.)
Billy Anastasiadis- 2004-
Billy was a force in the Hockomock during the 2001, 2002 and 2003
seasons. He is 4th all time in CHS scoring- 27 goals, 21 assists- 48

selection in 2001 and 2003. He is also one of only 8 Bulldogs to make
the All-State team.
Connor Erickson- 2004-
The second of the Erickson brothers to be named to the Bulldog
25, Erickson was All-Hock his Junior year when he was 2nd on the team
in scoring and managed the midfield for the powerful South Sectional
Finalists.
Wes Rawding- 2000-
The Bulldog's netminder for some of the best seasons the program
has seen. Currently has the 2nd lowest career goals against average
(1.41) and is tied for 2nd in career shutouts with 12. Named All-Hock
in 1998 and 1999.
Jarod Richmond-1995- The second Richmond brother to make the list,
Jarod was a scoring threat during the mid 90s. He helped lead his team
in '94 to the state tournament where they won the 2nd tourney game in
the program's history.
Richie Daniels- 1998-
Daniels was the go-to guy on the
1997 Hock Championship team. He notched 8 goals including a huge late
goal in the clinching game vs. KP. Was as tough and competitive as
anyone to ever wear the jersey. He currently sits as the 9th all-time
leading scorer. All-State as
well.
John Shea- 2003-
Although he doesn't have the
flashy stats, he was the backbone of the 2002 team's defense. He was
huge in the team's run to the Sectional Finals. Hard-nosed but
comfortable on the ball- a truly great soccer player.
Michael White-2007-
Whitey owns the major shutout records for the Bulldogs-
Career shutouts-16
Single Season Shutouts-10.
He minded the Canton goal longer than anyone else in the program's history
(53 games). He was critical to the 'Dogs 2006 13-2-5 championship
season- Named All-Hock for the fine season.
Eric Langlois- 1994- Langlois was an incredible
talent for the 'dogs in the early 90s. He was a scoring force in the
Hock. His 31 goals and 19 assists put him 2nd in all-time Bulldog
scoring with 50 points.
Andy Erickson- 1991-
Erickson is the all-time leading scorer for the Bulldogs (45
goals, 20 assists, 65 points) and also holds the single season scoring

first ever tournament win. He was the first Bulldog named to the
All-State team.
Anthony Balsamo-1999- Balsamo only spent two years with the 'dogs
after transferring from Xaverian, but made quite an impact. He was the
key central midfielder on the strong 1997 and 1998 teams. His strong
vision and distribution made those teams incredibly dangerous.
Danny Corocoran- 2007- Canton's dominant scoring threat in the
2006 championship season, Corcoran ended his career with 30 goals and
12 assists and now sits as the 5th leading scorer in Bulldog history.

Quarterfinal tourney game in 2006.
Check out the goal.

career. He led the Hock Championship team in scoring as a sophomore in

for four years. Played forward and midfield his first couple of years
before becoming the key to the Bulldog's defense by his junior and
senior years. Fast, strong and driven describe this talented player

ever mind the Canton goal. His enormous frame and reach caused fits
for opposing forwards. He holds the CHS goalkeeping record for lowest
career goals against average at 1.07.
