Danny Erickson
has completed his 19th year as CHS Head Boys’ Soccer
Coach. The 2011 team won a share of the Hockomock League
Davenport Division Championship- the team's 4th
consecutive league title and won its second straight
Hockomock League Classic Cup. The team's final record was
12-2-6.
During his tenure
the team has qualified for 14 state tournament bids
including 13 of the past 15 seasons. 2011, 2010, 2009,
2008, 2006 and 1997 Hock Championships, the 2010 South
Sectional Championship, and trips to the South Sectional
Final in 2010, 2007 and 2002 highlight the team's
accomplishments during Erickson's tenure. The team has
advanced to at least the Sectional Semi-Final round the
past six seasons and has amassed a record of 83-15-25
during that incredible run of success.
A 1989 graduate of CHS, Erickson
played two years of soccer for the St. Anselm Hawks
before transferring to Stonehill College. He
received Eastern Massachusetts Coach of the Year
honors for the outstanding 2006 and 1997 seasons and
earned the Boston Globe Coach of the Year honors for the
spectacular 2010 season. The team’s record under Erickson is 188-111-69. He
holds his NSCAA Advanced National Coaching diploma.
He has been a social studies teacher at CHS since 1995. He
currently serves as the school's athletic director.
