Canton Public Schools FUTURE PROBLEM SOLVING (FPS) is an international academic competition which has been part of the Canton schools since 1986 – over 20 years! In that time, teams of Canton students have consistently been named state champions and have gone on to do well at the International Competitions (held in various locations throughout the U.S.). In preparing for and during competition students learn and apply a 6-step problem solving process. They also sharpen their critical thinking and language arts skills. We’re looking for students from 4th grade up who enjoy a challenge to form some new 4-person teams.
