ALL SCHOOL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE BACK ON JUNE 14, 1999. Friday, June 11, 1999 will be the last to check out books from the school library media canter. The library will officially close for circulation on Monday, June 14, 1999. Exceptions to this return date may be arranged with Mrs. Murphy if a previously assigned project is involved. Students are responsible for lost and damaged library materials as stated in the library contract that was signed by every student in September. Students have been notified of overdue books throughout the school year. Parents, please ask your child if he or she received a notice recently. Maybe a bedroom check is in order. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and happy summer reading! |

Scholastic Book Fair A big thanks to all who supported the spring book
fair. A profit of $400 was realized for the school library media center. Besides the cash
profit, $300 in book fair materials were obtained for the school. Many students were able
to make summer reading selections. A thirty-two volume set titled: Fiesta (Grolier Educational, 1999) was purchased with profits realized from the fall book fair. Each volume features a foreign country and paints a portrait of that country through its festivals and traditions. Crafts, recipes literary selections, and representative clothing are included.
