The site presented two major challenges.
Heavy rains routinely flooded the basements of neighbors on
Reynolds and Vaughn Streets. Secondly, there was not
enough parking on the upper site for popular community events.
The site plan will significantly improve drainage and increase
parking by 22%. There will be 60 more spaces on upper site,
and 37 more spaces on lower site.
Pedestrian access to the lower fields and parking will be
safer. A lighted, ADA- accessible sidewalk will run
along the road, and the road no longer goes through the American
Legion parking lot. The path from the parking lot will
be widened, lighted, and ADA accessible; the new bridge will
have railings.

Traffic circulation will be much safer.
In the new pattern, the present exit will become the entrance
for all traffic; it will be the exit for buses only.
Buses will enter, circle past the tennis courts into the drop-off
area by the main entrance, and exit. Traffic to pick
up students will enter, turn left to a drop-off lane and circle
in front of Building A, and exit by the present entrance.
Service vehicles will use the separate entrance near the new
cafeteria.
