Did you hear?  Canton High School is going wireless in all science classrooms!!!

Technology Department's Computer Labs

The Technology Department at Canton High School has two new computer classrooms--Room B211 and Room B216.  Each lab has twenty-four Gateway computers, a laser printer, and an overhead, multimedia projector with DVD/VCR player.  All computers are networked with Internet access and are installed with WindowsXP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Canton High School's Departmental Computer Labs

With the completion of Canton High School's renovation in late 2005, each department will have a computer lab within their department equipped with up-to-date hardware and software.  Also, in the new library/media center, a computer lab will be available to students.  Several of these computer labs are completed and being utilized by students.

Currently the Science Department is equipped with wireless network access and Internet connectivity.  Rolling carts of laptop computers are available for computer use within all science classrooms.

Technology Department's Computer Lab Rules

In an effort to keep our computer labs looking and running their best, we ask that all users abide by the following rules:

  1. Be respectful of computer equipment and lab furniture.

  2. Unauthorized use of the Internet is prohibited.

  3. No downloading of programs from the Internet or installing programs from other sources, i.e. flash drives, floppy disks, etc.

  4. No eating, drinking or gum chewing allowed in the labs.

  5. Leave workstation

  • free of any papers

  • computer logged off

  • all books, folders, etc. returned to proper location

  • seat pushed in

  1. Report any computer problem immediately to your teacher.

Acceptable Use Policy for All Students

Please review Canton School District's Acceptable Use Policy which outlines the guidelines of acceptable use of the School's Wide Area Network for all teachers, students, administrators, staff members, and community members.

A signed User Contract for Individual Access to the World Wide Web and the Canton Public Schools Wide Area Network must be on file with the school. 

Violation of any part of the guidelines may result in loss of access privileges and/or disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate.  If necessary, law enforcement agencies will be notified.
