CLASS OF 2011: Registration for the
October SAT is now open. Students are encouraged to register early, as
Canton High School will fill up as a test center. The registration
deadline is September 10, 2010.

SAT Preparation courses are being
offered at Massasoit Community College (Canton Campus) on Saturdays from
October 2nd, 2010 to November 20th, 2010 to prepare students for the December
4th, 2010 SAT exam.
The SAT Math course meets Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12:00 at a
cost of $107.00. The SAT English course meets Saturdays from 12:30 to 1:45 at
a cost of $87.00. Students may register to take either or both courses.

The Rochester Institute of
Technology (NY) is hosting their 2010 College & Careers program for
students in the class of 2011 and their parents. The program offers two
days of workshop sessions for student and parent audiences. This summer,
the workshops will take place Friday and Saturday July 23rd & 24th and again
Friday and Saturday, August 6th & 7th. To learn more about the program

If you are a student on an IEP or 504 plan that grants you extended time on
tests in school and you regularly use that extended time, you may be
eligible for extended time on the PSAT and other College Board tests.
You must apply for extended time through a separate application process.

SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, SENIORS: See the
"Internships" link under "Careers" above to learn about interesting internship
opportunities available through
The Education Cooperative (TEC). TEC is
available to help arrange internship experiences in a variety of settings.
TEC is also able to offer a limited number of "scholarships" to help cover the
cost of the internship for eligible students who receive free or reduced
lunch.
