Mrs. Elsa Nicolovius has been taking groups of students to Bocholt, Germany for the past 29 years. Mrs. Nicolovius and her hard work to keep this program strong and vibrant has been recognized by the German government- a special honor indeed and well-deserved! With support from the Canton community and the community in Bocholt, our partner town, Mrs. Nicolovius has created a bridge to understanding between our two nations. Canton students continue to benefit from this wonderful program. A wonderful enrichment to classroom studies, Mrs. Nicolovius, a German native, is proud to have sustained such a formidable program. Each spring, Canton students travel to Germany for three weeks where they live with a host family, travel around to various sites of interest, and gain a better understanding of German language and culture.
