ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Problem Solvers would like to thank the community for their help and support as they prepare to represent Massachusetts at the International Competition in Michigan, and hope you continue that support by considering attending one of the following events: 

Saturday, May 10 - Mother's Day Plant and Bake Sale - 9:00AM - 4:00 PM.  Show someone special that you care. The Problem Solvers have beautiful hanging plants for sale, along with tasty home made treats both you and your mother will love!  There's something for everybody at the Problem Solver Plant and Bake Sale!

Tuesday, May 13 - Show your support for Canton's academic extracurricular activities and eat well in the process!  Papa Gino's restaurant at Cobb Corner will donate a portion of their proceeds received between 4 and 9 PM to help send Canton's State Champion Problem Solving teams to the International Competition in Michigan.

  • Reminder to all students attending the semi...you must be in school on Friday.
  • The Problem Solvers wish to thank all the teachers, students, and Supt. Dr. D'Auria for coming out to MacDonald's to support the teams in their quest to raise money to get to the International Conference in Michigan.
  • There will be layout meetings for the May issue of Spectrum today  through Friday, May 16.  All are welcome.
  • There will be a Mock Trial Meeting today, Wednesday, May 7 @ 2:00 pm in Ms. Bauman's office regarding the banquet.    All team members should attend.
  • Senior Class dues are now being collected ...the cost is $25.

  • National Honor Society will offer free tutoring after school in Ms. Schmidt's room 256 beginning today and will be held Monday through Thursday every week.

SENIORS

  • Prom Tickets: $90 per person as of 12/20/07.  Hopefully with fundraising the cost will decrease. The prom is going to be held at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston on Thursday, June 5, 2007.  All students must take the transportation provided, there are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS, and the cost is included in the ticket.  Tickets will be on sale at lunch from April 7th – 18th.  More info to follow in the Prom Packet which will be mailed home in the spring.

  • Senior Dues: $25 if payment is received after March 31st These dues are for cap and gown, and graduation expenses.

  • Senior Banquet: $20 Due: May 23rd Senior Banquet is Wednesday, June 11, 2008.  Students will meet in the cafeteria at 5:30pm for a dinner.  At 6:45pm parents are welcome to join them in the Auditorium for sports awards and the senior slideshow.

  • CORRECTION:  GRADUATION is JUNE 12th

  • Class Rings:  Any Senior interested in buying a class ring should pick up a booklet in the Main Office.

     

COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • Job opportunities available...please go to the Career Center for more information.

  • Seniors need to turn in the Community Service Hours This week.  Caps and gowns will not be distributed until all hours are turned in.
